Pass It Forward is all about helping more kids get involved in sport by making equipment accessible to those who need it most. Every time a Pass It Forward ball is purchased at Rebel Sport, another ball is donated to a deserving community—whether that’s a local school, club, or organisation.

Community Connect is proud to be one of two key distributors for the Pass It Forward campaign. Through this initiative, we’re able to give back to our communities by helping make sports equipment more accessible to those who need it most—so more whānau can get involved, stay active, and feel connected through play.​​​​​​​

Our visit to the Refugee Education Centre was nothing short of humbling. Through the Pass It Forward initiative, we were able to donate sports balls that quickly became a highlight for the tamariki.

Seeing their excitement and hearing “thank you” in so many languages was incredibly special. One moment that stayed with us was learning what many children used as “balls” back home—plastic bags filled with rocks or rubbish, shaped into something they could play with.

It was a powerful reminder of just how meaningful something as simple as a ball can be.

More than just play, it’s about connection, belonging, and opportunity.
