Touch New Zealand is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic activator to drive the development of Touch across Te Tai Tokerau and facilitate our Community Connect programme in Whangārei. The Pūmanawa Āwhina Activator position is full time and will be based in the Sport Northland offices at the ASB Stadium, Western Hills Drive, Kensington, Whangārei 0112.  

Required attributes:

We are actively seeking somebody who has a passion for sport, people and communities. Ideally you will:

• Exude enthusiasm and passion for the work you do that inspires and motivates your team and the people around you feel valued and welcome.
• Awareness of Te Ao Māori with some comprehension of Te Reo Māori, even at a basic level in workplace communications or a strong willingness to learn.
• Effectively distribute information to your team and stakeholders with the ability to communicate with a wide range of people, lead meetings, maintain good documentation and plans.

• Enjoy working in a coaching environment,
• Love promoting positive experiences in sport,
• Be process and policy driven when necessary, and
• Have a high commitment to communication.
