 COMMUNITY CONNECT

We are excited to celebrate the rangatahi whom are amongst the first to graduate the IPIR Programme within their regions, marking a significant milestone in their personal and professional development. These outstanding young leaders have completed training in four key quadrants: Personal Development, Event Management, Sport & Recreation, and Media/Marketing, setting them on a path toward future success.

From Whangarei: Jovan Haunui-Tawhiao and Arleyah-Marie Radovanovich

From Mid North: Komene Marino and Rangatira Tito-Brown

From Moving Manurewa: Kahlyse Taufa-Latu

From Tamaki Touched: Esther Lam Sam and Toro Ina

These rangatahi are a testament to their hard work, determination, and passion for personal growth. Their journey included gaining important life skills such as financial literacy, first aid certification, and event management experience, while also contributing to their communities by supporting and leading events.

In the Personal Development quadrant, they mastered essential skills such as setting up bank accounts, obtaining drivers' licenses, and crafting CVs. They were also introduced to financial literacy workshops and supported the practical running of events with up to 50 participants. Their Event Management training allowed them to take on responsibilities such as creating daily run sheets, establishing health & safety plans, and managing various event-related tasks.

In Sport & Recreation, these rangatahi took on leadership roles by coaching youth teams, officiating at multiple sport blocks, and completing introductory coaching and referee courses. Additionally, their Media/Marketing skills were developed through creating competition flyers, managing social media content, and capturing event highlights through photography and videography.

As these rangatahi graduate from the IPIR Programme, they have not only gained practical skills but also the confidence to lead and inspire in their communities. We are incredibly proud of their achievements and look forward to seeing the positive impact they will continue to make.

Congratulations to all the graduates! Your journey is just beginning, and we are excited to see where it leads you next.
