Tāmaki HVAZ Health Screening Day

 COMMUNITY CONNECT

Empowering Rangatahi Through Sport, Health & Community

Over the weekend, the Tāmaki Touched Team had the privilege of participating in the ProCare HVAZ (Healthy Village Action Zones) Health Screening Day at Grace International Church in Glen Innes. This incredible event was a platform to share our kaupapa and introduce the Igniting Potential in Rangatahi (IPIR) Programme, a key initiative aimed at empowering our youth through sport, leadership, and personal development.

Prioritising Health & Wellbeing

One of the highlights of the day was the opportunity for our team to complete their free full health screenings, reinforcing the importance of looking after our physical wellbeing. It served as a timely reminder that good health is the foundation for success—whether on the sports field, in education, or in our everyday lives. The event provided access to crucial health services and resources, ensuring that our community is well-supported in their wellness journeys.

Strengthening Community Connections

Beyond the health checks, the event was an inspiring space for collaboration. Connecting with organisations dedicated to uplifting our communities was a true highlight. These connections open doors for potential partnerships that will further enhance the opportunities we provide for rangatahi. Together, we can continue to create pathways that foster growth, resilience, and positive change.

A huge thank you to Lucy Vave & the ProCare Pacific Team for organising such a meaningful event. Their dedication to community health and wellbeing is making a real impact, and we are grateful to be part of this collective effort.

Have You Had Your Health Check Yet?

Taking care of your health is one of the most valuable investments you can make. If you haven’t had a full health check recently, we encourage you to take that step—it’s a simple but powerful way to ensure you’re on the right track to a healthy future.

We look forward to continuing our mahi in the community and working alongside passionate individuals and organisations to empower rangatahi through sport, health, and connection. Stay tuned for more opportunities to get involved!
